Your journey begins with education. Before your consultation, we encourage you to explore our website and view our educational resources. These materials are curated to help you understand your options, prepare questions, and develop realistic expectations. 

You will also be invited to complete a confidential photo assessment, allowing Dr Rughani to preliminarily assess your suitability and tailor your consultation more effectively to your individual goals and anatomy.

Our clinic hours are Monday – Thursday 8:30am – 4:30pm and 8:30am – 4pm on Fridays.

For cosmetic procedures Dr Rughani recommends patients attend two thorough consultations (lasting up to 45 minutes).

These appointments are a chance for you to discuss your concerns, aesthetic goals, and expectations in a relaxed, professional setting. Dr Rughani believes in open, honest communication and will explain all available options, surgical techniques, risks, benefits, and recovery timelines.

Patients are encouraged to bring a list of questions — your voice and preferences are integral to the surgical planning process. Dr Rughani takes pride in ensuring that each patient is fully informed and empowered to make the decision that’s right for them.

Prior to surgery, you will have further appointments with our dedicated and experienced nursing team, and if required, Dr Rughani. 

These sessions are an opportunity to fill in any knowledge gaps, finalise surgical plans, and prepare both mentally and physically for your procedure.

You will receive comprehensive pre-operative instructions and resources to help guide you in the lead-up to surgery. Our team will ensure you are feeling confident and well-informed as your procedure date approaches.

In addition, Dr Rughani's entrusted anaesthetists will also contact you prior to discuss any pre operative, anaesthetic needs and post operative pain care. 

All surgical procedures are performed by Dr Rughani at fully accredited hospitals with experienced anaesthetic and nursing teams. Patient safety is our highest priority. 

On the day of your surgery, you will be cared for by a professional surgical team who will ensure you are comfortable, prepared, and well supported throughout. You will leave with a post-operative care pack including medications, garments, and detailed instructions to support your recovery at home.

Dr. Rughani operates at the following private hospitals:

• Northwest Private Hospital
• North Lakes Day Hospital
• Herston Private Hospital
• Greenslopes Private Hospital

These are all fully-accredited hospitals with Queensland Health.

Our commitment to your care continues long after your surgery. Within a day after your procedure you are provided with information regarding your wellbeing, medications, and a post-operative instruction guide. 

Regular in-clinic follow-up appointments are arranged for you at key recovery milestones typically 1 week, and 8 weeks post-op (these vary between patients’ needs and surgery performed), where we will monitor your healing, change dressings, and provide tailored recovery advice. 

Our nurses are available during clinic hours for any concerns. Furthermore Dr Rughani offers to review you at 6 and 12 months to ensure you are healing well and satisfied with your results. 

We provide personalised advice for wound care and scar therapy to optimise your results and support a smooth recovery. This may include silicone products, massage techniques, and sun protection strategies.

Unlike many clinics that limit follow-up, Dr Rughani offers ongoing care. Whether it’s weeks or months after your procedure, our team is here to support you. We encourage all patients to return if they have questions or concerns at any point in the future.
